After a failed transfer to Panathinaikos, the left-back ended up heading to Italy. Agreement closed and should be made official in the next few days.

This Wednesday, Gianluca DiMarzio revealed the agreement between Sporting and Monza, from Serie A, for the transfer of Ricardo Mangas. The two clubs have already reached an agreement and it is expected to be made official in the next few hours.

The left-back will head to Monza on loan, with an obligation to buy, in a deal worth 1.5 million euros, which could reach 1.9 million, depending on objectives.

Hired last season from Spartak Moscow, the left-back ended up having a good season at Alvalade, proving to be a very useful player for the Leonine coach: he played 23 games, scored two goals and made two assists.

Monza means the change to the fourth different championship of his career, after several clubs in Portugal (V. Guimarães, Boavista, Desp. Aves), Spartak, in Russia, and Bordeaux, in France

At 28 years old, Ricardo Mangas is embarking on his third adventure abroad, after having spent time at Bordeaux and Spartak Moscow. It is, moreover, after half a season at the Russian club that he arrives in Alvalade in 2025.

He played 23 games for the Lions, scored two goals and made two assists. Used against Celtic and Strasbourg, in the pre-season, he started behind Maxi Araújo in the fight on the left side. It is valued at 2 million euros.
