Deportivo da Coruña lost 0-1 this Wednesday against Sevilla, in Riazor, in the sixth round of LaLiga. Miguel Sierra scored the only goal of the match, in a game in which Aubameyang was unable to extend his scoring streak.

Deportivo da Coruña suffered their first LaLiga defeat of the season. The team led by Antonio Hidalgo was defeated by Sevilla 0-1, at the ABANCA-Riazor Stadium, in a match in which Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, one of the great figures at the beginning of the championship, was left without scoring.

After five consecutive rounds of scoring, the Gabonese striker was unable to find his way to goal against a Sevilla team that had a solid defensive organization.

The first half ended goalless, with both teams creating few clear opportunities. The balance remained until the 52nd minute, when Miguel Sierra put Sevilla ahead.

The play started with an initiative by Lucas Stassin, who entered from the left and shot for Leo Román's save. During the reload, Miguel Sierra appeared in the right place and beat the Deportivo goalkeeper to make it 0-1.

The situation became even more complicated for the Galician team in the 59th minute. Angeliño was sent off with a straight red card after a tackle on Miguel Sierra, leaving Deportivo down to ten players for more than half an hour.

Even with numerical inferiority, Deportivo still tried to reach a draw. Aubameyang participated in one of the team's best offensive plays, entering the box and assisting Jonathan Asp Jensen, whose shot ended up being saved by the Sevilla goalkeeper.

Sevilla managed to control the final minutes and confirmed a victory that allows them to reach the 13 points, while Deportivo gets 9 points and in seventh position after six days.

The defeat thus interrupts Deportivo's excellent start to their return to the Spanish top division. Aubameyang continues, however, to be one of the team's main offensive references, having scored five goals in the first five rounds.
