FC Porto has officially signed Mame Niang, a powerful 20-year-old Senegalese striker, who joins the national champion from HamKam, in Norway, and will be integrated into the B team.
The emblem blue and white reached an agreement with the Norwegian team for the transfer of the player, in a deal that foresees the payment of 1.6 million euros, to which 725 thousand euros may be added upon achieving objectives, the club confirmed, in a statement.
The HamKam will also be entitled to 15% of the value of a future sale. Initially, Niang should divide his time between the main team and the Porto secondary formation, following a similar plan to that defined for João Afonso and Eirik Granaas. He will be protected by a termination clause of 20 million euros.
"I'm happy to be here at FC Porto. FC Porto is a great club and that's why I came here. Many high-level players have already been here. For example, Marega, a striker who inspires me", said the 1m97 forward, speaking to the club's channels.
The forward will wear the number 46 shirt and will initially be integrated into the B team, under João Brandão, in League 2.
