Musiala collapses on the pitch against Leipzig

Bayern Munich beat RB Leipzig 3-1 in a friendly marked by a huge scare involving Jamal Musiala.

The German player collapsed on the pitch in the final minutes, shortly after scoring a goal, although initial reports were reassuring. Max Eberl confirmed that the player is fine and that initial assessments revealed no serious problems.

The Bavarian club explained that the incident was due to fainting caused by heat and dehydration, in a match played in temperatures close to 33 degrees Celsius (91 degrees Fahrenheit).
