The team coached by Carlos Vicens, fourth in the 2025/26 Portuguese League, fell to the third UEFA competition due to Torreense's victory in the Portuguese Cup final.
A scenario that gave the Torres Vedras team direct access to the league stage of the Europa League, relegated Benfica, third, to the qualifiers for access to that competition and SC Braga to qualifying in the third UEFA club competition.
The Braga team, who have not lost any game in the pre-season (four wins and a draw), thus begin their European campaign against the unknown Serbian side Zeleznicar, with the second leg scheduled for July 30th.
If they qualify in this round, SC Braga already knows that they will face the Azeris from Neftchi or the Belarusians from Dinamo Minsk in the third qualifying round, on August 6th and 13th.
The game with Zeleznicar, in Pancevo, starting at 20:00 (Lisbon time), will be refereed by the Turkish Mehmet Türkmen.
