Kiké Hernández drove in the winning run with a seventh-inning double, Emmet Sheehan surrendered no runs in 5 1/3 innings, and the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the San Francisco Giants 3-1 on Sunday to complete a three-game sweep. Hernández took advantage of the first pitch he saw from Sam Hentges (1-7), driving in Max Muncy to put the Dodgers ahead 2-1. Muncy added to the lead with a hit single in the eighth inning. Kris Bubic (4-2) pitched 2/3 of an inning for the win, and Tanner Scott took care of the ninth inning for his 23rd save. Sheehan took full advantage of the opportunity to play with the bullpen to strengthen his credentials and secure a spot on the Dodgers' playoff roster as a long-term reliever. He managed nine strikeouts, giving up just one hit and one walk, after replacing Jack Dreyer in the second inning. Matt Wilkinson allowed three hits and no walks, striking out six in five runless innings, but the Giants' bullpen fell apart. The 23-year-old lefty was acquired in the trade that sent catcher Patrick Bailey to Cleveland in May. Tommy Edman hit a home run to right in the sixth inning to tie the game 1-1, hitting relief pitcher Carson Seymour with a 400-foot hit. Jonah Cox got a base on balls early in the game, helping the Giants take a 1-0 lead. Cox reached second base after a botched out attempt by Dreyer, before stealing third base, and Victor Bericoto's hit single propelled him home.
