Cruzeiro announced the signing of Zé Lucas. The club acquired 60% of the economic rights of Zé Lucas for 4.4 million euros. The negotiation includes the loan of Murilo Rhikman and Chico da Costa to Sport Recife until the end of 2026. The Minas Gerais club overcame competition from Flamengo to sign Zé Lucas. The celestial proposal was superior to the red-black in values. The Fla thought about having the midfielder initially in the under-20s, and not in the main squad, another factor that weighed in favor of Cruzeiro. Zé Lucas is a promise of Brazilian football. The midfielder was a starter and captain of the national team's runner-up finish in the last U-17 World Cup, in 2025. He also has calls for the U-20 team in 2026.
