Portuguese tennis players Tiago Pereira and Frederico Silva were eliminated this Tuesday in the first doubles round of the Estoril Open, after losing to Mexicans Santiago González and Miguel Reyes-Varela.

Remember the events of the meeting

As happened in the singles table, in which they were already eliminated, Tiago Pereira (150th in the doubles ranking) and Frederico Silva (799th) were unable to overcome González (72nd) and Reyes-Varela (80th), losing 6-1 and 6-4, in one hour and nine minutes.

In the doubles tournament, there are still two Portuguese pairs, with Francisco Cabral and Nuno Borges teaming up again, after having won the Estoril Open in 2022, while Jaime Faria and Henrique Rocha received a wild card.
