Martim Chelmik renewed his contract with FC Porto until 2031, becoming the fourth European and world under-17 champion to extend his connection to the club, after Bernardo Lima, Duarte Cunha and Yoan Pereira. The 18-year-old defender's new contract includes a release clause of 50 million euros. At Olival since 2018, when he joined the under-11s, Chelmik rose through the various levels of the Porto team and signed his first professional contract in 2024. Last season, he helped the under-19s win the national title, which had eluded the club since 2018/19, in a campaign in which the team finished with the best defense in the competition. In total, he played 21 games, scored one goal and made one assist. The 2025/26 season was also marked by the debut in professional football. On January 11th, João Brandão launched him in the 84th minute of the derby with Sporting B, a match on the 16th round of the Second League that ended in victory for the B team of FC Porto.
